Welcome to ‘Newman Street’, an entertainment education program, featuring well-known faces on Nollywood and aspiring artists which will tantalize and entertain the audience. Newman Street is an innovative TV Drama, creatively scripted and acted to address key health concerns facing all Nigerians, like malaria and family planning. The characters are captivating and their stories are powerful.


On ‘Newman Street’, you will meet Andy, a handsome barber and aspiring Afro-hip hop artist fighting the uphill battle to fame. He’s just one of the interesting folks featured on Newman Street, an edgy TV drama about young Nigerians with big dreams who strive to overcome the harsh realities of city life to achieve happiness, fame and fortune. Be prepared to be surprised, or eve shocked by the exploits of Andy, who is in love with the young and beautiful Funke, but is torn when sexy Caroline lures him with promises of helping him get his big break.

Mama Ejiro who sews clothes in front of their house and aspires to get additional training that will enhance her business. She dreams of clothing the high and mighty, finding fames and fortune for herself in this.

You will also spend time with the powerful Atta family who seem to have it made, but we find out that life behind the walls may not be as wonderful as it seems.

This engaging TV program is for everyone and will help lift people’s spirits and provide the correct information they need to be able to make the best life decisions for themselves and their families as they deal with everyday issues

The premiere will take place on Thursday, 16th October at the Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island, Lagos starting with the red carpet from 5pm.

Tune in when the exciting Newman Street TV drama debuts Sunday 19th, October at *.30 PM on the entertainment channel (105) of the NTA StarTimes bouquet. A repeat will be broadcast on Fridays at 8.00pm.
